Best Laksa
I have frequent this restaurant quite a bit. It is hiding somewhere inside the winding streets of Macau, and from the sign you wouldn't know it is actually Malaysian. The restaurant is mostly for take-out, but if you like to sit, there is a foldable table and two benches. Parking is not easy around this place though. Its a short walk from the Jinghu Hospital. Their laksa noodle is their specialty, pretty similar to what I had in Singapore. You can choose different spiciness to suit your taste. For me, I like to have them mix thick and thin noodles together into a bowl. You can actually observe the chef while she's mixing the ingredients in front of you.. The word to describe their noodle is "refreshing", very chewy and not oily. Their noodle is a bit on the small size, if you are a big eater, you may need two bowls.. The chef learned how to cook Laksa from a Malaysian hotel chef a while ago. To make the soup base it is quite difficult because of many different spices that need to be added. But since she already know how to cook well, it comes quite natural for her to change menu. Sometimes they will close without notice, but generally they will open from 12-8pm. You can always call them first to see if they are open. PRICE: 40-50 MOP per person. Phone: 6281 8529 Address: Rua de Tomas Viera no.3-6, Edificio Son Hang, ground floor.
