Best Portuguese
Good thing about Macau is that you have the very populated area like the Central Macau, and the more scenic and secluded area like the Coloane. If you don't mind driving a bit farther from the city, there is a great restaurant just inside the Coloane village.
Portuguese food is meant to be shared among guests. The restaurant is not well known compared to the Dumbo in Taipa village, but because of less crowd, you can expect to get better service, for the same price. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of tables so reservation is recommended. Maybe because the place is small, it does feel homey and warm.
Food is served piping hot, and you get a reasonable priced hearty meal. I especially enjoy their steamed clams. After dinner, you can enjoy a walk around the beach or walk to the nearby Lord Stow's bakery which is famous for their egg tarts.
